For the moment, “us” is “me” — Marian Buchanan. Once the journal has had some issues out and a community starts to form around it, I hope to have other faces on this page as well: hopefully some regular contributors, each with their own little snippets of wondrously creative and thoughtful beingness. Perhaps you’ll be one of them?

I envision this virtual journal and blog space as a place for deep exploration: genuinely open-minded questioning and critical thinking, truly ethical responsiveness rather than superficial knee-jerk reactions. There is so much to explore, even when limiting the territory to the intersection of art and ethics.

I chose that lens and focus because of the kinds of endeavours and preoccupations I myself am immersed in. I’ve been engaged in art since I was a child, and concerned with ethical conscientiousness since that time as well.

I hope you’ll join me on this journey and participate in the dialogue and community that it may generate.
